11.3 cubic feet is the default cargo space in the 2020 Sorento while the 2020 Outlander comes with a default cargo space which is 1 cubic foot less than the Sorento’s, at 10.3 cubic feet. When this space is expanded, the former increases to 73.0 cubic feet while the latter follows closely behind at 63.3 cubic feet; it is this expansion that makes the most difference in cargo availability between these two SUVs.
Seating Capacity
When it comes to occupancy, the Sorento beats the Outlander. Where the former has a precise seating capacity of 7 passengers, the latter always has a capacity decision to make between 5 and 7 passengers.
Placed side by side, the Sorento comes top in seating capacity, standard cargo space, extended cargo space, horsepower across both engine choices, and torque. It is only in fuel economy for the first-engine choice that the Outlander bests the Sorento by a few miles.
